Help / Sending email
Connect a mailbox
Go to Sending, then Mailboxes, and choose Connect mailbox. Three tiles open. Pick the one that matches your provider.
Google Workspace or Gmail
Fullturn connects Google mailboxes with an app password: a separate 16-letter password that only works for this connection and that you can remove at any time. The full steps are in Connect Gmail or Google Workspace with an app password.
If Sign in with Google is offered on your Fullturn, you can use it instead. Google may show Google hasn't verified this app while its review is in progress. Choose Advanced, then continue. A mailbox connected with Google sign-in is not used for warm-up; one connected with an app password is.
Fullturn tests the login with Google before it saves anything. If Google rejects it, the message says so; check the address and the 16 letters and try again.
Microsoft 365 or Outlook
Microsoft mailboxes connect with Microsoft sign-in only. There is no password option, because Microsoft has stopped allowing password login for IMAP and is retiring SMTP password sending.
If your Fullturn has not set up Microsoft sign-in yet, the tile says so. Ask your Fullturn admin; the admin enables it under Settings, Integrations.
Any other provider (SMTP and IMAP)
- Enter the email address and leave the field. Fullturn fills in the server names, ports and encryption for common providers, and looks up the mail server of a custom domain. It only fills fields you have not typed in, and never touches a password.
- Check the SMTP details (sending) and the IMAP details (reading replies). IMAP uses the SMTP login unless you switch that off.
- Press Test connection. It signs in to SMTP without sending anything, and reads the INBOX over IMAP without changing it. Each result is shown in plain words with the server's own message.
- Press Connect. It stays disabled until a test has passed for exactly the values on screen. Change a value and you must test again.
- IMAP is optional, but without it Fullturn cannot see replies, and the form warns you.
- Choosing encryption None shows a warning, because the password would travel unencrypted.
After it connects
- Warm-up starts on its own. See Warm-up and what the day count means.
- Fullturn stores mailbox passwords encrypted.
- How many mailboxes you can connect depends on your plan. See Billing, the trial, seats and limits.
