Getting set up: the 7 steps

Home shows a card called Get set up with a count such as 2 of 7. It always points at the next thing to do. You can do the steps in the order shown, or open any of them from the card.

The seven steps

  1. Your website. Enter your web address. Fullturn reads the site, learns what you sell and drafts your first article. The step is done once articles have somewhere to go live: your WordPress site with the Fullturn plugin, or a site hosted by Fullturn.
  2. Your first article. Fullturn writes one article about your business so you can see what it makes. Nothing goes live because of this step.
  3. Connect a mailbox. Your emails go out from a mailbox you own. See Connect a mailbox.
  4. Verify your sending domain. SPF, DKIM and DMARC must all be valid for your sending domain. See Sending domain: SPF, DKIM and DMARC.
  5. Add your mailing address. A postal address is needed in the footer of marketing emails. Add it under Settings, Team, Outreach.
  6. Import or find your first list. Import a CSV or find contacts, so there is someone to write to.
  7. Write your first sequence. A sequence is the series of emails Fullturn sends for you. Write the first one.

Good to know

  • The count only goes up when the work is really done. If your site could not be read, the step stays open and the card says why.
  • Fullturn sends nothing until you start a campaign, and the campaign screen names anything that blocks it.
