Import contacts, and what Held: not verified means
Fullturn only emails an address it has checked. A bad address bounces, and bounces damage the reputation of your mailbox and domain. So every contact starts as Unverified.
Import a CSV
- Go to Contacts and choose import.
- Choose your file. Fullturn detects the columns. Check that email, name and company point at the right columns.
- Name the list, then import. You get a count, for example 3 contacts imported into your list. They show as Unverified.
- The number of contacts you can hold depends on your plan.
Verification
Fullturn sends only to addresses that an external verifier marked valid in the last 30 days. Your plan includes a number of verifications a month, checked by Fullturn's own verifier. You can also connect your own verifier under Settings, Integrations.
In the campaign screen, Verify the selected audience checks the list before you start. If no verifier is available at all, the campaign screen says nothing can be sent, and links to Settings, Integrations.
What Held means on a recipient
- Held: the recipient's email is not verified. The address has no recent valid result. It resumes after the address is verified.
- Held: not verified yet. Fullturn verifies the address just before the first email, at the campaign's daily pace, and sends only if the verifier confirms the mailbox with no doubt. It resumes by itself if the check passes.
- Two or more bounced addresses at the same company domain in the last 90 days hold every first email to that domain until a re-check.
- A held recipient is not lost. The campaign keeps sending to everyone else.
Other reasons a contact is left out
- The address is suppressed or on your do-not-contact list.
- A merge field in your email, such as the company name, has no value for that person. Fix the contact or the copy, then resume.
- The person replied. A reply ends the sequence for that person.
