Help / When something is wrong

When something says blocked or needs attention

Fullturn pauses email on purpose when a risk shows up. Every stop shows its reason on the screen, and none lasts forever. Read the line on the screen first; it names the cause and the way out.

A campaign pauses

  • Bounce brake. At least 4 hard bounces, and once 50 sends are counted, 3.5 percent or more of the last 100 sends, pauses the campaign. The Overview says Paused by the bounce brake and lists the numbers. Check the bounced addresses and domains, clean the list, then press Start. Counting restarts then.
  • Smaller bounce spikes only hold the recipients at the bounced company domains. The campaign keeps sending and offers Release all after you check the addresses.
  • Spam complaints. 2 complaints, or 0.3 percent after 20 sends, pauses the campaign under a banner Paused by your rule. Resume after you look into it.
  • Your team can change these pause rules in its deliverability rules.

A mailbox rests

  • A mailbox with too many hard bounces or complaints in 30 days rests, by default for 7 days after its last problem. It then returns at a quarter of its daily allowance until it has 50 clean sends.
  • An owner or admin can press Return to sending now on the mailbox. It returns on the same quarter allowance.
  • Warm-up continues during a rest. Leave it on.
  • A mailbox that is refused by its provider (wrong password, quota, permission) pauses with the reason shown, and Fullturn tries again after 24 hours. Retry sending does it at once.
  • A mailbox that cannot see replies holds the recipients it already emailed, and offers to continue them from another mailbox.

Cold sending is blocked or reduced

  • SPF, DKIM or DMARC is not valid. See Sending domain: SPF, DKIM and DMARC.
  • The sending domain is on a blocklist, or the mailbox has too few warm-up days. See Warm-up and what the day count means.
  • Spam placement is high or not measured yet. The daily allowance is cut until it improves.
  • The mailbox page has a line that explains today's allowance in words.

A recipient is held

Held recipients do not stop the campaign. The reason is on the recipient. Common ones are not verified, bounce brake, an empty merge field, and five failed send attempts. See Import contacts, and what Held: not verified means.

An article needs attention

  • Needs you: an article waits for your approval. See Add your site.
  • Held for a claim that could not be confirmed: edit the sentence the note names, or approve the article, or switch the fact-check setting to Publish anyway.
  • Could not connect to your site: check that the site is up and the plugin is installed. If Fullturn is not sure whether a post arrived, it checks your site before it sends again, so you do not get a double post.

Still stuck

Use the notification bell and the Needs you list first. They show what is waiting for you. If the reason on the screen does not explain it, contact the Fullturn team and send the text of the message.
